SALTWICK REACH · SURVEY OF 1926
Plate 41 · 1926
Saltwick Reach
Saltwick Reach is the chart this house is quietly known for. The 1926 survey recorded the harbour bar after a hard easterly had moved it forty yards east, and the second state shows both positions: the old bar in broken rule, the new one in full. Pilots bought it for the crossing; collectors keep it for the two dates etched side by side at the mouth of the river.
